Xinxing (New Star Press) was founded in 1989 in Beijing,China. It is a public press appointed by the nation to release the government’s white paper to people abroad. Its publications don’t show in our domestic market. On October 14th, 2004, approved by the General Administration of Press and Publication, Xinxing adjusted its publishing scope and became a comprehensive publishing entity which can release books to both the nation and foreign countries.

On October 28th, 2004, Xinxing received its publishing license and set that day as its celebration day. On December 26th, 2004, Xinxing registered as an enterprise and became one of the few entrepreneurial national presses.

Xinxing is sponsored by the China International Publishing Group (CIPG). As a member of CIPG, Xinxing has rich resources of professional translation teams and enjoys the opportunities of undertaking international cultural exchanges and communications. Since its establishment, Xinxing has published thousands of books and government’s white papers in Chinese, English, German, French, Russian, Arabic, and more. Introducing China to the world has caused great impact abroad.

As the appointed reform unit by the national relevant department, and a wholly new publishing house, Xinxing adheres to the modern publishing concept and management mode of modern enterprises; advocates a culture of honesty, initiative and equality, and possesses a team with high cultural quality, management competencies, and professionalism. From the beginning, Xinxing insisted on a systematic and vivid marketing strategy, as well as multi-channel sales strategy in order to achieve its strategic objectives of “being well known for its policy in the publishing field, being well known for its image in the market, and being well known for its brand among the reader”.
